According to the Financial Times of the 13th of January 2010, Greece could be forced to leave the EU within 2 to 3 years. The crisis of the economy there is severe. The Greek government has been caught with its pants down, they have been massaging the economic figures. If Greece is forced out of the EU it could signal the start of the rout. Opponents of the EU have probably put bets already.  Hopefully they will lose their money!
